Tour Master and Cortech garments utilize several fabric technologies to provide the rider with the best possible experience when riding. These technologies are designed to improve abrasion resistance, ventilation or water- and wind-proofing of the garment.
In caring for your garment please:
Road grime and soil may be removed with fabric spray cleaner or mild laundry detergent and lukewarm water.
Oil or grease stains should be initially treated with a dry cleaning solvent immediately followed by fabric spray cleaner or mild laundry detergent and lukewarm water
It is recommended that you pretest all cleaning products in a hidden area to ensure compatibility with the garment.
Use commercially available leather cleaners and conditioners for all water-based spills and stains.
For oil-based stains, wipe the stained area clean with a clean dry cloth and allow the remainder of the stain to dissipate into the leather over 24 hours.
Do not use leather cleaners or conditioners, water or soap on oil-based stains. If stain is still visible, seek out a professional leather cleaning specialist in your area for professional cleaning.
Some of the leather used in our garments is 100% washable leather. Please refer to the product tag contained within the garment for further instructions and to confirm its washability.
Do not store your leather garment in plastic or non-breathable sealed bags as it can promote mildew.
Avoid storing in direct sunlight or in excessively dry conditions as this will accelerate leather aging and cracking
When wet, allow leather garments to airdry naturally away from any heat source to maintain shape and sizing.
Avoid extreme heat or humidity that may damage leather’s natural oils.
Leather can be treated with a leather conditioner yearly to restore flexibility and proper moisture levels.
In winter, promptly remove salt deposits from garments by sponging with clear water, then follow with the above treatment for wet or damp leather. Allow to airdry.
Avoid wearing in very humid and dry environments. This will shorten the life expectancy of a leather garment.
Do not use waxes, silicone products or other leather preparations that impair a garment's ability to breathe.
Wrinkled leather garments should hang out while on hanger. Storing with creases and folds will stress the leather and cause wrinkles in the garment.
Seek out a professional leather care specialist when your garment becomes excessively worn or soiled for professional care.
If boots become wet, dry them out in a well-ventilated, dry place away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
When storing boots, keep in a well-ventilated dry area that will promote the leather to stay supple avoid mold and mildew.
If applicable, remove inserts, insoles or booties and store them separately from the interior of your boots.
For prolonged storage in excess of 2-3 months, stuff boots with newspaper to help them keep their shape.
To clean your boots, clean with a sponge or soft cloth and water to remove any mud or soil. Dry with a soft cloth. Check any articulated plastic parts for squeaks and lubricate with silicone lubricant as necessary.
Check your boots carefully after each use.
Do not use harsh cleansers or alcohol- or solvent-based products as these will harm any personal protective equipment guarding ankles or heels.
If gloves become wet, dry them out in a well-ventilated, dry place away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
When storing gloves, keep in a well-ventilated dry area that will promote the leather to stay supple avoid mold and mildew.
To clean your gloves, clean with a sponge or soft cloth and water to remove any mud or soil. Dry with a soft cloth.
1. Disconnect the garment from its Synergy power lead and remove the temperature controller.
2. Machine-wash on the gentle or delicates cycle using the cold water setting on your clothes washer and use a mild detergent. Do not use bleach or cleaning solvents as they will damage the garment.
3. Remove your Synergy liner from the washer and hang up to air-dry completely. Do not use a clothes dryer.
NOTICE: DO NOT SOAK SYNERGY APPAREL LINERS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS, AGGRESSIVELY WRING OUT OR TWIST THE LINER TO DRY IT, AS THIS WILL DAMAGE THE HEATING ELEMENTS AND LIMIT THE LINER'S ABILITY TO DISPERSE HEAT EVENLY.
